Of the many points of entry into Lake Mead National Recreation Area, the South Entrance is relatively remote. It has little easy vehicle access to the rest of the park, though it is the best entry point for visitors heading for Katherine Landing. Open daily year round. Lake Mead Visitor Center open 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
